THC is the primary cannabinoid responsible for the psychoactive effects associated with cannabis. The amount of THC in a product can vary widely based on the method of consumption and the strain at the source of that product. The high that is produced is often enhanced by the “entourage effect” which is a combination of multiple cannabinoids in conjunction with various terpenes and individual body chemistry.
CBD is the second most prevalent cannabinoid and is primarily produced by hemp plants and at lower amounts in cannabis. CBD has soared in popularity due to its non-psychoactive effects.
Terpenes are aromatic compounds found in cannabis that contribute to each strain's unique flavor and aroma. Total terpenes represents the combined concentration of all terpene compounds detected in the product, which may influence the overall experience through the entourage effect.
F.E.C.O Full Extract Cannabis Oil RSO Concentrate from Veteran's Choice Creations is a hybrid concentrate in the RSO style, a thick full extract oil. Its terpene profile runs through pine, spice and earth, with alpha pinene and beta pinene bringing the resinous forest note and beta caryophyllene adding a sharp, sweet-wood edge. Camphene and caryophyllene oxide round the profile out with herbal and spiced wood tones, giving the oil a dark, savoury character.
This concentrate tests at 63.6% THC alongside 0.29% CBD. Consumers most often report a sense of calm that arrives first, followed by a happy, relaxed frame of mind. Some also describe an energetic thread running through it, which keeps the experience from feeling heavy. It tends to appeal to experienced concentrate shoppers who want a hybrid full extract oil with a balanced reported character.
On the nose, alpha pinene and beta pinene lead with fresh pine and woody resin, while beta myrcene adds earth, musk and a touch of cloves. Beta caryophyllene brings sharp sweet spice over the top, and camphene contributes a herbal, almost camphorous lift. On the palate the spice and wood carry through, with caryophyllene oxide extending the peppery finish.
